This forum is designed to bring together members interested in addressing the perinatal health needs of the immigrant population in the United States. This session will review the current legal and policy contexts impacting immigrant perinatal health, describe the challenges immigrants face in the US health care system, showcase current efforts to serve the pregnant immigrant community across the nation, and highlight opportunities for continued research and advocacy collaborations. This session proposal is submitted in collaboration with the SMFM Diversity and Inclusion in the Workforce Subcomittee.
