During the study period, there were 1,688 encounters for obstetrical trauma, with a predominance of motor vehicle collisions (50.5%) and falls (29.7%). Trends were observed with increases in motor vehicle accidents (MVA) (p< 0.001) & all-terrain vehicle accidents (p< 0.003). Additional trends were noted with decreases in assaults (p< 0.002), falls (p< 0.00001), and deaths (p=0.3).
Over the study period in ten-year increments, lower rates of admission to the hospital and admission to the obstetrical service was observed.
